Know About the Different Steps of Car Air Conditioning

When you take your vehicle for car air conditioning in Regas, the technician starts by checking the temperature of the cabin, after switching on the device. Once they are assured that it is in the best condition, they would move towards checking the refrigerant level. Low levels could result in lesser cooling of the car. The mechanic would use an AC gas recharging machine and a pressure gauge that helps in increasing the refrigerant pressure level to the desired level.

This form of maintenance of the vehicle may or may not be a part of the car log book service. A few brands would include them in the log book service, while others would differ with this. Experienced mechanics would suggest this service, as it helps in optimum working of the vehicle.

While working on such service, the mechanic would check for a leak or a crack in the AC lines ad hoses. The technician may use UV dye to pinpoint the leakage. Once they are sure that all of the pipes are intact, they would move to the compressor.

The compressor is one of the expensive and vital parts that power the AC system. If this part fails, then the whole system would fail to perform. A visible leakage or a whirring noise from the compressor, a bad seal could be an issue. The best way to keep the system in the best condition is to get it checked at regular intervals and replacing the compressor oil.

The other issue that the mechanic would check for is bent or damaged fin or a clogged line. Accumulated dust and debris along with leaves could lead to blockage, which would bring down the efficiency f the system. The clogged condition would need using mild water pressure so that the fins do not bend.

The last phase would include checking of dryer and cabin filter. All these steps are crucial for the proper functioning of the vehicle.
